The Who Sole Honorees @ VH1 Rock Honors

The Who have had in iconic career, boasting membership in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, UK Music Hall of Fame and the Grammy Hall of Fame among countless other honors. With classic albums like Tommy and always-current songs like “My Generation,” it’s no wonder the folks at VH1 have chosen to single them out as the sole honoree for the third annual VH1 Rock Honors. Airing, Thursday July 17 at 9pm ET/PT, The Who will perform along with tribute performances by Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, The Flaming Lips and the recently-announced Incubus.

Imitation truly is the greatest form of flattery, and there has been no shortage of bands covering The Who from thirty years ago to the present. From David Bowie to Green Day, bands of all genres and caliber have set out to honor The Who in live shows and televised performances.
